MediAlly is a multi-platform medication management app designed to help you track medications, set reminders, and manage your health across iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch. It combines powerful medication tracking with an intuitive, Apple-native design.
MediAlly requires iPhone and iPad running iOS 17.0 or later, Mac running macOS 13.0 (Ventura) or later, and Apple Watch running watchOS 10.0 or later. We take full advantage of the latest Apple platform features including modern data persistence and the new SwiftUI APIs.
Yes, MediAlly is free to download and use. Core features including medication tracking, reminders, basic stock management, and receiving shared data are available at no cost. An optional Pro subscription unlocks advanced features such as AI medication recognition, adaptive recommendations, premium themes, and translation cards.
You can add medications in two ways: manually enter the medication details (including name, dosage, and schedule), or use the AI medication recognition feature to photograph a medication label or prescription. AI automatically extracts key information for quick setup.
MediAlly supports five reminder modes: Daily (one or more times per day), Cycle-based (every N days), Weekly (specific days of the week), Interval (custom day intervals), and As-needed (on-demand without fixed schedule). Each medication can have its own reminder schedule.
Yes. MediAlly includes stock tracking with quantity management. You will receive low stock alerts when your medication supply runs low. Medications are categorized by four expiry statuses: normal, near expiry, expired, and overdue. This helps ensure you never run out of important medications.
MediAlly sends medication reminders as time-sensitive notifications, which can break through Focus mode and Do Not Disturb. To enable, open iOS Settings > Notifications > MediAlly and make sure "Time-Sensitive Alerts" is turned on. You can also review and adjust this in the app under Settings > Push Management.
If you ignore or miss a reminder, MediAlly sends a second reminder 10 minutes later. Records that pass the grace window are automatically marked as missed so your adherence stats stay accurate. You can manually backfill missed records from the Records tab.
Yes. When a reminder fires, tap Snooze and choose a custom duration with a 5-minute step. A preview shows the next reminder time before you confirm. You can snooze medication, expiry, and stock reminders.
MediAlly uses iCloud to automatically sync your data across all your Apple devices signed into the same iCloud account. Your data is stored in a private database ensuring only you can access it. Sync happens seamlessly in the background whenever you have an internet connection.
Yes. MediAlly supports data sharing via iCloud. You can selectively share specific medication records with family members or caregivers. Receiving shared data is free for everyone — recipients only need MediAlly installed on their device to view shared data, and they can accept the share invitation through the app.
When the device timezone changes, MediAlly shows a banner on the home screen with three options: sync only, switch all reminders to the current timezone, or defer. The timezone settings page shows pending changes, affected medications, and applies migrations. Each record tracks three layers of timezone information to ensure accurate scheduling.
Translation cards translate your medication details into one of seven target languages: English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, French, or German. They are ideal for travel and doctor visits abroad. Translation cards are a Pro feature; upgrade to Pro for unlimited creation.
MediAlly Pro unlocks five premium capabilities: AI medication recognition, multi-language medication translation cards, adaptive medication recommendations, premium app themes, and the ability to receive shared data from other users. Receiving shared data is free for everyone. Pro is available as a monthly, quarterly, or annual subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase.
You can manage or cancel your MediAlly Pro subscription at any time through iOS Settings > tap your name > Subscriptions > MediAlly. Your Pro features will remain active until the end of the current billing period. We do not offer partial refunds for unused time.
Yes. Open Settings > Medially Pro and tap "Restore Purchases". Any past subscriptions or lifetime purchases tied to your Apple ID will be restored. This is useful after reinstalling the app or switching to a new device.
Your data is stored locally and synced via iCloud, end-to-end encrypted by Apple. When you use AI recognition or translation features, the medication data needed for that request is sent securely to our AI service, processed in real time, and never stored on our servers. All other processing happens on your device.
Yes. MediAlly provides full functionality offline. You can view medications, log intakes, receive local notifications, and manage your stock without an internet connection. Any changes you make offline will automatically sync to your other devices once you reconnect. AI recognition and translation features require a network connection.
Privacy Mode is a global toggle in Settings that hides medication names from notifications and widgets. When enabled, reminder, expiry, and stock notifications show generic wording instead of drug names, and widgets hide drug names on the Home Screen and Lock Screen.
You can export diagnostic logs from Settings > About MediAlly > View System Logs > Export & Share Logs. The logs are saved as a ".log" file and can be shared via the system share sheet. To delete your data, use the data deletion option in Settings.
